Sylvain Cuperlier
Vice President of Worldwide Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, Dole Food Company, Inc.
Mr. Cuperlier joined Dole Europe in 1998 as Coordinator, Markets Strategy and Communication Department after spending 2 years in Argentina in order to fulfill his French Civil Servant requirements. In 2000, he was promoted to Manager, Responsibility Programs and Communication, Europe and Africa. Mr. Cuperlier became the Vice President, Director of Worldwide Corporate Social Responsibility for Dole Food Company, Inc. in 2005 and was later appointed to the position of Vice President of Worldwide Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability for Dole Food Company, Inc. in 2010.
Between 2002 and 2011, he has represented Dole Food Company, Inc. on the Advisory Board of Social Accountability International (SAI), a New York-based non-profit organization focusing on workers’ rights.
Mr. Cuperlier has an MBA from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Cergy – Pontoise, both obtained in France. In addition, Mr. Cuperlier has a Diplom Kaufmann with a specialization in organization and social psychology from the Universität Mannheim in Germany.

Roberto Vega
Director of Sustainability, Dole Food Company, Inc.
Mr. Vega joined Dole in Costa Rica (Standard Fruit Company de Costa Rica) in 1998 as a Financial Analyst. Soon after, he was appointed to Banana Farm Controller and then promoted to Financial Analysis Manager. In 2004, Mr. Vega began working for the Latin American Division of Dole Fresh Fruit International as Strategic Analysis Manager and later became the Organic & Exotic Program Controller. In 2008, he moved to Paris to hold the position of Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for Dole Food Company, Inc. Two years later, he was promoted to Director of Sustainability of Dole Food Company, Inc.
Mr. Vega has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Finance, as well as an M.B.A. in International Business from Universidad Internacional de las Américas, Costa Rica.
The CR&S Department Reports to Sue Hagen.
Sue Hagen
Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Dole Food Company, Inc.
Ms. Hagen joined Dole Food Company in 1986 and has held a variety of line and corporate positions during her tenure. In 2000, she became Vice President of Human Resources for Dole North America, and in 2004 was appointed to her current position with worldwide responsibilities. Ms. Hagen has also been an active Board member for the non-profit organization Children’s Hunger Fund since 2003. Ms. Hagen has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Redlands and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
